CV Expedition kicks off with a bang! :)

After a long wait of planning, coordination and even more planning, our 1st meeting with the youths finally came! :) It was an amazing and inspiring day, full of fun teamwork and bonding games, as well as the youths' curiosity and excitement about the expedition to Cambodia. Their energy was infectious, and I felt warmed by the enthusiasm I witnessed. I knew then that we had a really solid team, and time would only bring the group closer together.

Not to forget, we celebrated Ming's birthday during the tea break! Happy birthday, buddy! The day closed with reflection about what we wanted to achieve out of this expedition journey, as well as acknowledgement of each other. The reflection was personal, and deep. Hearing the different reasons that the youths had - to be a leader, to learn, to care for the kids in Cambodia, etc. etc. touched and connected me with the purpose of why we are all here together.

Because of you, this will be a memorable journey. Looking forward to our next event on 31 Aug 08 (Sun)!
